Nico has been a director of Miller Bosman Le Roux since 1987, where he specialises in High Court litigation, family and commercial law. Nico's career includes tenures as senior prosecutor in Upington, Regional Court prosecutor in Kimberley and state advocate at the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in KwaZulu-Natal.
Nico, who graduated from the University of Stellenbosch with BA LL.B degrees, has retained his academic presence, lecturing part-time for candidate attorneys since 1993, and is also a part-time lecturer and examiner at the University of Cape Town's School for Legal Practice since 1994. A member of the Law Society High Court Committee, he is also an examiner for the attorney’s entrance examination.
As an avid sports player, Nico is president of the Strand Tennis Club, has completed the Comrades and Two Oceans Marathons, and cycled the Cape Argus Tour. He is also a member of the Western Province Rugby Referees Association. Furthermore, Nico serves the community as a trustee of various school trusts and he has been a commissioner of the Small Claims Court since 1994.
