Manie Bosman joined Miller Bosman Le Roux as a partner in 1972, specialising in commercial law. He later added litigation to his specialities, with specific emphasis on road accident claims and personal injury claims, which became his primary focus for almost 40 years.

Manie Bosman graduated with a BA (Law) from Stellenbosch University in 1966 and a B.Juris from the University of Johannesburg in 1974. His first position was as a human resources manager with Anglo American, a role he left to become the PRO of the University of Stellenbosch. Thereafter, Manie joined Hofmeyr Van der Merwe & Botha in Johannesburg to become a junior partner.

In his role as panel attorney for the Road Accident Fund, a position he held for ten years, Manie provided defence against the then-largest claim in history, for R13 million by a citizen of the USA. Furthermore, in 2002, Manie concluded a claim for a Belgian doctor against the Road Accident Fund for the fund's largest payout at that time, R31 million. In 2008 he finalised a claim in favour of a Swiss client for R615 million, to date the largest successful claim against the Road Accident Fund.

Manie, a former mayor of Gordon’s Bay, is a former captain and president of the Strand Golf Club, where he is still an active golfer. He is also a member of the SA Tennis Association and a qualified tennis coach.
